Revenge

Revenge

By

Miss Van Wham

The times of love have gone,

The soul sees no more,

The icy stare of Ares shines down

Freezing my body to the core

I glance at the children,

And weep for our loss,

How could one do this to us?

How could one's heart be so lost?

I pull his blanket around him,

I replace the doll in her arm,

I close the door behind me,

To protect them from harm,

I step down the stairs slowly,

And look at the photos on the wall,

We were so happen back then,

We were not prepared for his fall,

I spy the sleeping soul on the couch,

And bring out a blanket for him,

The one who did all this will pay,

I will tear him apart…limb by limb!

As I crept gently out the door,

I could feel the dark powers grow,

I touch the amulet around my neck,

And I call out for the blood of my foe,

Thunder and lighting sound around,

As my steal steed drove near,

I sheathed my sword in its scabbier and shout

"THIS NIGHT, YOU WILL KNOW FEAR!"

I cautiously mounted the black bike,

And silently drove out of sight,

With my loved ones tucked away safely,

I call the blood lust for battle on this night,

The blood red night's sky hid my presence,

The red soil shivers as I search for my prey,

My excitement grows as I near the mountains,

Upon the mount's peak his shattered body will lay,

I smell his presence like decomposing meat,

My sword calls to me for his hide and blood,

I smile eagerly at the shadow before me,

And stop my steed in the rich Martian mud,

"Your blood will cover the ground rat!"

I shout at the rodent as he tries to flee,

I leap into the air and land in front of the parasite,

"You will pay for the pain you have caused me!"

I grip his neck and flung him at the rocks,

His body ricocheted off the mountain' side,

I step closer to the wailing coward,

"You rat, will pay dearly with your hide!"

"Please!" He begs to me, "Don't kill me",

I crouch low and look at him in his eyes,

"Did my love say that before you killed him?

But now know you are the one who dies!"

I raise my black blade high in the air,

And I call out to all who would hear,

"You will die his death scoundrel!"

On this night, he now knows fear.
